Noroclear - Review

When you have children its like all of a sudden you have so much more worries than you have ever had in you're life before, well that is certainly how I feel. I don't believe in wiping my children's faces and hands every minute of the day as I know that they quite enjoy playing out in the mud and getting dirty, I mean thatis what they do best...isn't it?!

I do however like to make sure that they are bug and germ free, I know that it is impossible to get every single one but if we try we can surely get most of them!

One of my biggest issues with heading out for lunch is that quite often the highchair trays are very rarely cleaned and I have often seen me asking for our one to be cleaned down or I grab a wipe. That is where these very handy products come into their own

This handy little bag is now stored in our changing bag as it goes everywhere with us! There are surface wipes and skin disinfecting wipes, along with that there is the hand foam which I love, within one minute these products can kill the toughest super bugs!

The hand foam is very light and non greasy, it absorbs into you're skin very quickly and doesn't have that strong sickly smell that some of the other brands do.

This is something that I would recommend everyone to carry around with them, you never know when you might need it.

Noroclear uses medical grade technology to eradicate a whole range of germs, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeasts and spores in just one minute.

One set of active ingredients in Noroclear attack the superbugs and viruses by rupturing their cell membranes.

This enables a second combination of ingredients to enter the cell and destroy its inner workings, killing the germs almost instantly.

This means that within one minute of wiping or spraying a surface, or wiping your hands, the germs will be dead. Noroclear is the only cleaner and disinfectant proven to combat Norovirus and kill such a wide range of superbugs in just one minute.

Our hand products have passed stringent dermatological tests to ensure they are safe to use on the most sensitive skin types and are non-alcohol based and entirely free from harmful chemicals such as bleaches.

The hand wipes and rub are formulated with natural Aloe Vera extract for gentle skin conditioning, meaning they can be used again and again.

Noroclear has been rigorously tested using an EN test standards program and is proven to combat a wide range of germs in just one minute.  Click here to view a summary of the efficacy testing program that Noroclear has undergone.

We received this very cute Daddy pig book and a Peppa pig DVD.

The book is very sweet and E absolutely loves sitting with her daddy reading this book. As for the DVD...it has been the most popular DVD with E, even the boys don't mind watching it!

There are lots of different Daddy pig products which I am sure everyone will love.

he exclusive range of all-new Daddy Pig products includes a My Daddy book and Champion Daddy Pig DVD for the little ones and for the Dads there is a wide range of merchandise including Father’s Day cards and giftwrap, cufflinks , ties, handkerchiefs, lounge pants, pyjamas, trunks, slippers, mugs, keyrings and boxers.

OXO Tot - Review

I have been a huge fan of OXO Tot products ever since I done my first review for them. Their products are very funky, modern and useful.

This time we are reviewing a few of their brilliant products.

We will start off with the small and large bowl set (top left picture). These are really great for when E is at Grannies for the day, she likes to take her lunch or a snack with her and these bowls are just the thing. I love that they are slightly harder for her to tip over, whether it is by accident or she is having a little tantrum and pushes the plate aside! The small and large bowls have straight side walls to help little hands guide cereal, yoghurt or other foods onto their utensils. Stable, non-slip bases prevent tips and spills at the table, and snap-on lids keep snacks contained and leftovers fresh. The 200ml and 360ml bowls nest together for easy storage. These bowls are BPA, phthalate, and PVC-free, so you'll have one less thing to worry about at snack time. And they're top-rack dishwasher safe for added convenience. They are suitable from six months old.

Next up is the cutlery set. When I first saw it, I knew it was a must. E is very independent and every meal time she needs to come and get her spoon and fork and will not let anyone help her...no matter what. Generous handles have soft, non-slip grips and are easy to hold while scooping yoghurt or piercing pasta. The fork tines capture food effectively and safely, while the deep spoon head easily scoops and contains food, easing the frustrations of learning to self-feed. A flat spot on the handles prevents the fork and spoon from rolling off the table or high chair tray and the soft grips are shaped to keep them from sliding into bowls or plates. This durable stainless steel fork and spoon set eases the transition to "grown-up" cutlery. This is suitable from 12 months plus.

Now we have the new flippy lid snack pot. This I liked as the lid screws on and E cannot get the lid off no matter how hard she try's. The OXO Tot Flippy™ Snack Cup with Travel Cover is great for munching at home or on the go. The soft, flexible opening gives little hands easy access to goodies, while the flaps keep even small snacks off the floor. The twist-on lid stays secure when the Cup is dropped (or thrown!), and the shape of the non-slip handle is just right for tots. The Cup comes with a snap-on cover to keep snacks fresh and secure.

Last up is the Twist Top Water Bottle. This is aimed at bigger kids and to be fair both the boys seen it and thought it was pretty cool, I would be quite happy for them to have these as well for school or for lunch time etc. But I am equally as impressed with it for E. It is not a non spill cup which I don't find to be a problem as you can easily screw the lid around when it is not in use, making it non spill. Whether it’s for lunch or an after-school football game, keep your big kid hydrated with the fun, easy-to-use OXO Tot Twist Top Water Bottle. A twist of the non-slip lid reveals a soft straw that is comfortable to drink from. The soft, non-slip carrying loop is comfortable and easy to hold. The lid twists closed keep the straw clean and prevent spills when not in use. The large opening makes filling, cleaning and adding ice easy.

I would recommend all of these products as they are of very high quality and they will not break the bank!

Karcher K2 Compact Pressure Washer

We have been trying to review the Karcher K2 Compact pressure washer for a little while now, however the weather has held us back a little. I prefer the weather to be dry when I am washing the car. Thankfully we have now had a chance to see how good it is.

Compact & lightweight, the K2 Compact Home pressure washer is easy to transport and is ideal for all cleaning tasks around the home. Included with the machine is a trigger gun, 4m high pressure hose, one way lance, detergent suction facility and a dirtblaster lance which provides up to 50% greater cleaning power than a standard high pressure lance.

The K2 Compact Home also comes complete with a Home kit containing a T50 patio cleaner and patio detergent. A pressure switch control switches the motor on and off when the ergonomically-designed trigger gun is pressed and released, whilst an impact-resistant, recyclable plastic casing effectively prevents dirt particles from damaging the motor and pump.

I found it very simple to set up, however I did need my husbands help when it came to getting the water pipe fitted on to the machine itself (although I am sure this is something that most people could manage, I like to make things a bit of a task!).

As I have previously mentioned this comes with a patio cleaner, which I still have not tried out. It does look like it would do a great job, and once I have had a shot of it I will report back to you with a little video of how it works. As you can see in the image to the right it also has a little packet with it, and in this little packet is car shampoo. I works great and made my car very shiny to look at. I think that this is a lovely little extra.I also love how there are lots of little extras you can buy for it, like the wheel wash brush and the soft brush both of which I will most definitely be adding to my wish list (along with the Karcher window vac!).

This pressure washer is a great size for storing in the cupboard if you have no outside shed to store it in, the nozzle comes off of the trigger hand piece and the hand piece then has a little holder on the machine itself along with a bit to tidy the cable away. When it is switched on it is not too noisy, I think it sounds a bit like a hoover and it has ample pressure for washing the car etc.

Here is a very short video I have put together for you to get a little idea of how this pressure washer is when it is switched on and also to see the pressure of it.

At an RRP of around £99 I think that this is great value and a super hose to have around the home. It gets a big thumbs up from us and we would definitely recommend it.

LélikTec Tablet Review

Money Supermarket have had some super competitions for bloggers recently and this one is no different. This blog post is our entry into the Money Supermarket Inspect a Gadget competition.

Inspect a Gadget is all about finding the best budget gadgets for travelling this summer. I am sure we are all the same and like to pack our favourite gadgets to keep us entertained whilst lazing on the beach in the glorious sunshine (oh how I dream of the sunshine!).  We have decided to review the LélikTec 7" inch tablet.

When I first saw it and seen how much it cost I have to say I did not have very high hopes for it. I mean £42.50 for a tablet? Anyway when it arrived I was keen to see how it looked and performed.

The boys were so excited, they were finally going to have a tablet of their own, and maybe mummy wouldn't be quite so worried about them dropping it. It was a surprise to me to see the quality of finish this product has. Yes you can tell that it doesn't cost hundreds of pounds but you wouldn't know how little it actually costs. It is very light weight which could be a big bonus for those of you packing one of these to go abroad, it will not take up much of you're luggage allowance.

So now to switch it on and see how it works. The boys were able to work this straight away, it is very much like an iPad and that for me made it a lot easier to understand and use. So on we got with trying to download the apps that they wanted, the first one being angry birds. This too was very easy to do.

There are lots and lots of apps that you can download on to this tablet, we only have a few at the minute but we will definitely be getting some more, this is going to be great for when we go on our hoildays or even just for long car journeys. It may save the 'are we there yet' question being asked quite so often.

Although this tablet may seem a little lighter, I can assure you that it is very sturdy. Little E managed to get her hands on it the other day and dropped it on our very hard kitchen floor! I am happy to report that there was absolutely no damage done and everything works fine, phew!

Some of the specifications are as follows:
  • Full UK version with 3 pin UK charger
  • All winner A13 1.0GHz CPU (up to 1.5GHz maximum) + Mali-400 GPU
  • 7.0 inch Capacitive Touch Screen, Very Slim and Light-Weight, Support WIFI, 4 way G-Sensor, flash player 11.1 (BBC player, Skype Video calling)
  • Rich apps: Youtube/Facebook/Twitter/MSN/Android market/Skype/Calculator/Google Mail/Google maps/iReader/Quick Office
We would recommend this as a great tablet for children as you don't really have to worry about it as much as you would some of the more expensive brands. And I would also recommend this as a great tablet for travelling, again as its something you wouldn't worry about as much as you're beloved tablet, if it was to get lost or stolen.

Strutt & Parker

When you are looking to buy that perfect house, it can be a very stressful time. We are not looking for a new house at the moment, but I really do love looking through the papers or on the internet to see what is on offer.

I genuinely have noticed that Strutt & Parker have some of the nicest houses to offer. I always stop on their pages in the news paper see something I love and then I find myself searching their web site to see more.

My dream home would be a nice new build which we have planned our selves out in the country, nice flat walls to decorate, having as many rooms as you want/require and generally having everything set out the way you want it.

Strutt & Parker was founded in 1885 by two friends, Edward Stutt and Charles Parker. Since then the company has grown massively and they are experts in property sales.

They offer many specialist property services throughout the UK. These range from property valuations and advice on compulsory purchase orders and renewable energy schemes, through to client support on planning processes and expert testimony before courts and tribunals.

Clinique CC Cream

I love testing beauty products and especially if it is a skin care cream. When Mumsnet offered me the chance to test out some new Clinique moisture surge CC Cream I could  not refuse. You see my skin is actually not too bad, I have dry skin around  my nose which drives me mad! I have never found a cream that helps me get rid of it for good...yet.

This is the cream that was sent to me...

My first impressions of the CC cream were good, I liked the packaging I liked how when I took the bottle out it was small enough to fit in bag if needs be and it is not breakable.

I was eager to try this cream out and see what it was like, with it being tinted this was a whole new cream for me. The cream comes out just like liquid foundation, it is very light and not oily at all which for me is always a good thing. It literary takes minutes to apply, a quick rub all over the face making sure you have all areas covered and away you go.

At the weekends (usually a Sunday) I tend to get lots of housework done while staying in my jammies most of the day. There is usually something that I have run out of or desperately need for making the tea and I have to nip out to the shops and I am the type of person that does not like going out without make-up on (not that I wear lots), however there is never time to muck about and so I go out feeling like everyone is looking at this pale faced lady thinking 'oh my goodness did she really go out looking like that?!' even though I know no-one is  looking at me.

With the Clinique CC cream I can put a little on and feel a lot better. I also put this on under my usual make-up and it really does look great. Now you are about to see something very rare, I am about to add two pictures of myself before and after the application of the cream. This is rare because I am really not a fan of having my picture taken (which you will see from the pictures!).

Here goes...Before:                                                   And After:

As you can see from these pictures the cream really does give a lovely colour, it makes you're skin look fresh and radiant again. I love how the Clinique CC Cream gives my skin a hydration boost and also protects from the sun with its SPF30 rating. Overall I would recommend this cream, it retails at £28 which may be a little pricey but I would say it will last a long time and it is definitely worth it.
